《English》 This piano sound of NSF msuic is made with the patch function of sound driver `Nsd.lib'. I sampled the wave-form and the envelope-form of each note range from the piano. This music data use the method that change the wave-form and envelope-form with the each note range. Actually, I wanted to make a narrowing a little finely piano, but waveform memory of n16x is not enough. So, I gave up. Number of wavefrom, sample length, etc... |

Inspired by novakord's cover. I felt deceived a bit with his cover, as it didn't make full use of the expansion. No big deal since only mml compilers were available to make n163 songs at the time. Anyway, this one is done in FamiTracker and tries to make full use of its capacities! Sorry to bother you with such a long song, I hope you enjoy it as much as I made it! (English) This song "Kaerenai Futari" is selected from album "MIRACLE DIVING" of Japanese famous band "JUDY AND MARY". I lay emphasis on the expression of the acoustic guitar using 2A03. The vocalist sounds it in FDS.

S?sarian?) is an action role-playing game developed by Nihon Falcom, and the fifth in the Dragon Slayer line of games. It was originally released for the NEC PC-8801 in 1987, and was later ported to other personal computer platforms such as the NEC PC-9801, the NEC PC-88VA, the Sharp X1 Turbo, and the MSX2, for which it was released under the title Dragon Slayer V: Sorcerian. An English version for MS-DOS PCs was published by Sierra Entertainment in 1990,[2] ports for the Atari ST, Commodore Amiga, Apple IIGS and Macintosh platforms were announced,[3] but not released. In 1997, Falcom released Sorcerian Forever for Microsoft Windows95/98 -based PCs. In 2000, Falcom released Sorcerian Original, a remake of Sorcerian for Microsoft Windows-based PCs. In addition, console versions of Sorcerian with somewhat differing content from their PC counterparts were developed: A version for the Mega Drive was developed by Sega, a version for the PC Engine CD was developed by Victor Musical Industries, and a version for the Dreamcast was developed by Victor Interactive Software. Contents 1 Gameplay 2 Add-ons 3 Music 3.1 American music changes 4 Reception 5 References 6 External links Gameplay Sorcerian is a side-scrolling action-RPG. The player can create up to ten characters, from whom up to four members can be present in a party at the same time. Each character is highly customizable, with four different classes/races (fighter, wizard, elf, and dwarf) and over 60 possible jobs/occupations (ranging from clown to exorcist) available for them to perform; each has its own strengths and weaknesses, affecting the seven primary attributes (strength, intelligence, protection, magic resistance, vitality, dexterity, and karma) in different ways,[4] as well as different equipment limitations.[5] The player can choose from fifteen different scenarios, or quests, to play through in the order of their choice. The party must battle enemies and perform tasks within the given levels to clear each scenario, before moving onto another scenario of their choice. The player controls the entire party at the same time, with all four members running in a line, jumping in sequence, and attacking in unison.[5][6] The party members follow behind in a manner similar to the Options in the arcade shooter Gradius (1985).[1] Sorcerian also employs class-based puzzles, such as using a high-strength character to force open doors.[5] All the characters have a default starting age of 16. Each time a player begins a new scenario, a year passes by, while additional time passes by in towns as a character goes through training or enchants items. The characters age at different rates depending on their race, with humans reaching old age at 60, dwarves at 100, and elves at 200. Upon reaching old age, for every year that passes, a character can die permanently at a random time. There is also an “Advance Time” to speed up the flow of time. Another new feature of Sorcerian was its episodic format that extended across various expansion packs. Besides the default fifteen scenarios that come with the game, there were a number of additional scenario packs released. The aging system was created with the additional scenario packs in mind.[5] Add-ons A number of add-on expansion packs containing new scenarios were developed for the PC-8801 version of Sorcerian, by both Falcom themselves and by other companies: Developed by Falcom: Sorcerian Utility Vol. 1, Sorcerian Additional Scenario Vol. 1, Sorcerian Additional Scenario Vol. 2 – Sengoku Sorcerian, Sorcerian Additional Scenario Vol. 3 – Pyramid Sorcerian Developed by Amorphous: Sorcerian New Scenario Vol. 1 – The Visitor from Outer Space, Selected Sorcerian 1, Selected Sorcerian 2, Selected Sorcerian 3, Selected Sorcerian 4, Selected Sorcerian 5 Developed by Quasar Soft: Gilgamesh Sorcerian Music The soundtrack to the original Sorcerian was composed by Yuzo Koshiro, Mieko Ishikawa, Reiko Takebayashi, Hideya Nagata, and Takahito Abe. The Falcom-developed Additional Scenarios were handled solely by Ishikawa. The music for the original Sorcerian was arranged by Kenji Kawai for the PC Engine CD release. Soundtrack releases for Sorcerian include: Music from Sorcerian: The original score to the PC-88 version of the game. All Sounds of Sorcerian: The original sound again, this time in the form of medleys for each scenario, along with two arranged tracks. Sorcerian Super Arrange Version: A series of three albums featuring arrangements by Hiroyuki Namba. Volume 1 contains a set of arrangements from the base scenario of Sorcerian. Volume 2 contains arrangements from the base scenario and Additional Scenario Vol. 1, along with the original sound of Additional Scenario Vol. 1. Volume 3 contains arrangements and the original sound from Additional Scenario Vol. 2 and Vol. 3. Perfect Collection Sorcerian: A set of 3 2-disc albums containing various arrangements of the base Sorcerian soundtrack, similar to the Perfect Collection Ys album series. Sorcerian Forever I & II: Two albums containing upgraded versions of the Sorcerian base scenario soundtrack, similar to the Music from Ys Renewal releases. American music changes Because Romancia: Dragon Slayer Jr. was never released to English audiences, Sierra removed references and altered which songs played during the "Dragon King" level of Scenario II. Further tracks were changed in other levels, but this may be due to a bug, as the original Japanese track order (Minus "Dragon King") is maintained in the English Musician's Guild. This is the story of a man named Peter. Peter was never a fan of Famicom music to begin with, having instead become a fan of its successor, the Super Famicom. Peter became a fan of Super Famicom music because he owned a North American version of the Super Famicom, called the Super Nintendo, and became a fan of the soundtracks made for the SFC. Peter wanted to make new music for this system as well as create video games for this particular system, even as the system became obsolete. In order to do so, first, he had to learn to make music. So in 2004, he started by using software on a PlayStation 2 to develop his music making skills. He owned several music making applications, but his favorites were MTV Music Generator 2 and Digital Hitz Factory. However, he was unable to record any of his music that he made. It would be nine years before any of it would get recorded. So Peter decided to make music on his G3 and downloaded Harmony Assistant after searching for other music making software. Peter decided he would start making music for others to listen to via a web site called VGMix, and that he would be known as Furby on that particular website. Remixing existing video game music sounded like a good idea to stabilize the musical notation skills that he would need. Naturally, the first releases sounded terrible. But by releasing a song in the first place, Peter, now known as Furby on VGMix, has taken the first step to making music for a video game. Peter ultimately bought Harmony Assistant in September of 2005. The purchase has served him well to this day, as he still uses it to acquire samples from soundfonts. VGMix eventually went down and Peter ultimately became KungFuFurby. The username was originally used for a browser game called Kung Fu Madness, but Peter decided that it would be his username henceforth for the online world. KungFuFurby first attempted to make an emulation of SFC music through Harmony Assistant in 2005. The music was not authentic at all because the samples were simply too large and in one case too many channels were used at one point, but ultimately they were successfully converted to real SFC music seven years afterwards. KungFuFurby then acquired a piece of software that was a variant of ModPlug Tracker, which in turn was a variant of Impulse Tracker. The tracker was called Schism Tracker, and KungFuFurby discovered the tracker when it was very young. The tracker would prove to be the best acquisition ever, and Harmony Assistant would continue to be used to acquire samples from soundfonts with loop points intact. With Schism Tracker, KungFuFurby would try again in making SFC music after finding the SNESDev.net forums. Unfortunately, the songs were not quite made for any particular sound driver, the samples were once again too big, and the only sound driver that could even remotely take the files created with Schism Tracker had to be imported and converted to .xm first before XMSFC would convert them. KungFuFurby could do the conversion, but could not use XMSFC due to a platform incompatibility. In mid-October 2007, Peter acquired a G5 and transferred to it to continue his adventures. The G5 proved to be a high maintenance computer, and ultimately he lost the majority of his progress in mid-August 2008 in a hard drive crash. Needless to say, his alter ego KungFuFurby was visibly devastated by this crippling loss. So KungFuFurby started over, knowing he had lost several months worth of music, and tried again. KungFuFurby eventually discovered a sound engine called SNESMod, which was created for a game named Skipp and Friends. The author of the sound engine, ekid AKA Mukunda Johnson, was also the creator of XMSNES. Once again, a platform incompatibility prevented the engine from being fully realized, although KungFuFurby did his best to work around this limitation... KungFuFurby would eventually install XCode and successfully create real SFC music for the first time. However, he was aspiring to be a musician for SFC games, so he continued to create SFC music. Unfortunately, the SNESDev.net forums would not survive past 2010, and therefore the games went unrealized. KungFuFurby is currently attempting to turn the music into authentic SFC music, and plans to make a special sound driver to account for the excessive amount of musical data. In the mean time, KungFuFurby was finally able to get his music on an actual game five years after the first attempt at a contribution. The first game released to contain KungFuFurby's music was Scribble Star, an Adobe Flash game created with Stencyl. KungFuFurby's involvement was with the music only, and it wasn't very retro-sounding. Then again, it didn't have to be retro-sounding. KungFuFurby's second game turned out to be his only game that he fully developed. The game was created in a week for a game making competition, and it was called the Nine Pixel Game. Why was it called the Nine Pixel Game? Because the game was so small that all it needed was nine pixels to represent the entire game. The game obviously wasn't presented at 3x3 resolution because the pixels were much too small on a computer, but if the pixels were enlarged, then perhaps it would work. However, that would also mean that KungFuFurby would be unable to add text to the game to partially explain what the game is exactly. While making music for video games, Peter eventually started getting bogged down in college work, and thus KungFuFurby was unable to dedicate as much time as he wanted to for his passion. Despite this difficulty, KungFuFurby finally achieved the dream of having his music on a SFC game in mid-August 2012 with MazezaM Challenge by alekmaul, Tchou by dieudunet, and Uwol: Quest for Money by the Mojon Twins and ported over to the SFC by alekmaul. At around this same time, KungFuFurby discovered Battle of the Bits and its massive treasure trove of real SFC music already converted to .spc format. KungFuFurby had discovered psuedo-SFC music prior to this, but a YouTube video revealed to KungFuFurby that there was an active community of SFC musicians. It was through Battle of the Bits that KungFuFurby would finally gain the ability to create Famicom music. FamiTracker was not an option for KungFuFurby because it was not created for a Mac computer. Plus, KungFuFurby was only willing to compile command line programs. KungFuFurby was too nervous in attempting to port over a GUI application. So instead, the folks at Battle of the Bits introduced KungFuFurby to it2nsf, which happened to be, at least in part, created by mukunda, and KungFuFurby promptly started creating NES music. Initially it was a disaster for KungFuFurby because he did not realize how quiet the DPCM samples could get when downsampled so much. KungFuFurby would make his first Famicompo appearance at Famicompo 9, and true to that particular number, the DPCM was suffering from technical difficulties at the time. But for a first attempt, it was passable, even if What followed was Famicompo 10, and KungFuFurby would make one entry. The entry was made using the VRC6 expansion, which KungFuFurby had grown fond of. Despite some technical difficulties, the song proved to be a big success. KungFuFurby did not produce any more entries because of Peter's real-life commitment for his college work. About half a year before this Famicompo Pico entry was made, tragedy struck. KungFuFurby, who by this time had to switch to an identical G5 because of a video card failure, as well as having to replace the power supply, had now had to deal with the reality that his G5 was now dying. The G5 was now prone to crashes, and KungFuFurby determined that the crashes were not caused by some sort of malware... instead, it was caused by hardware failure. The data was promptly backed up, and six years after that hard drive crash... the G5 was retired due to what KungFuFurby thought was a capacitor failure. Therefore, this Famicom song, a cover of a song composed by Blake Robinson for the Stanley Parable, was produced on an Intel Mac. Peter refuses to run full-blown Windows software on the computer, but he accepts DOS software. Therefore, the song was not made with FamiTracker. KungFuFurby only made the cover because Peter had found the song to be particularly catchy. KungFuFurby had mostly abandoned remixing because he didn't feel safe incorporating the notation into the music, and he felt that he wouldn't do any of the music justice these days, especially if it was more modern music. He wants VGMix to get back its old WIP feature before making any more remixes, if at all. And Peter and KungFuFurby would like to say hi to Stanley, from one side of the computer through the Internet to the other. Peter wonders if Stanley has his own alter ego that he prefers to be. |
