    the homepage for nsf music competiton called "famicompo".
    be steeped in nes music listening - it's our main aim.

  • What's nsf？
    nsf means "nes sound format". it consists of sound data extracted from nes softwares.
    originally it started to rip nes music from commercial cartridges etc. to play them on pc.
    but the format also allows you to make your original data as well as ripping.
    assume that as nes version of famous psid format if you're familiar with commodore 64.
    in fact this format is acctualy based on it and has similarities with it.
    so we set our sight on this point.

  • What's nsf competition?
    at the beginning, we invite music contributions made by each competitor,
    then mark out the winner by vote from listeners.
    it's similar to ordinary mod/sid competitions in the demoscene, called "compo".
